Compared to other years, here are the very first snowdrops and some rhubarb spearing through the soil – very early. We now have more brightly painted bird boxes. Dazzling colours and patterns against the grey skies and branches. Do the birds like them? They’re singing so loudly now it’s surprising the neighbours don’t complain.
